INSTITUTO DE INVESTIGACIONES ELECTRICAS

The Mexican Electric Research Institute (IIE) was created by a presidential decree of the Mexican government first of December of 1975, like a public organism decentralized with legal personality and own patrimony, with scientific and technological character.

Its main activity consist in carrying out projects of applied investigation and technological development for the electrical sector. Its main clients are the Federal Commission of Electricity (CFE), Light and Mexican Force of the Center (LyFC) and Mexican Oil Company (Pemex), as well as the compatible industry of electrical manufactures and industries.

The IIE also offers specialized technical services and collaborates with institutions and electrical companies of other countries.
